Description

The Universal Boat Mount Holster from Discrete Defense Solutions is a versatile holster that can be attached to any surface by means of velcro, double-sided tape, screws, etc.  This is specifically designed for boat owners who want to carry while on the open water.

The Universal Mount Holster combines a .093″ Kydex back panel and a .060″ Kydex front panel and is custom formed to fit your Glock, HK, SIG, Smith and Wesson or any other of our available models of handgun.  This allows the holster to achieve positive retention without the need for a thumb-break or other method of retention.  The trigger guard is fully enclosed offering you that extra level of safety and security.  The back panel is formed with a 3/4″ offset to allow for easier gripping of the firearm when mounted against a solid surface.  This material performs well even when the surface areas are exposed to constant moisture and water.

The Universal Boat Mount Holster is offered in both “Grip Right” and “Grip Left” configuration to encompass any application you need.  When ordering, just imagine where you will be mounting on your boat and choose your desired model.  This is determined by which direction the grip is pointing when you are looking at the front of the holster.  Please see pictures above if you have questions.  As mentioned above, it can be attached with many forms of fasteners.  As a general rule of thumb, if the holster is mounted in the vertical position, adhesive backed velcro or a permanent/removable adhesive will usually suffice, but obviously a mechanical fastener may be necessary for some applications.  If mounting the holster horizontally it is best to use a mechanical fastener such as a screw, push type expansion fastener, rivet or any similar device will work best to carry the weight of the firearm in the holster.

If you have questions about the right choice for your application, please use the Contact Us tab and we can assist you.
